United Shuttle Service Provides 18 Daily Flights Between Newark and Reagan National Airport

United Airlines has started nearly hourly shuttle service between New York/Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Reagan National Airport (DCA), as well as five new flights between LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Washington Dulles Airport (IAD). In total, the new service from United provides 32 daily flights between the New York City and Washington D.C. areas.

United Shuttle Service

The new United shuttle service between New York/Newark Airport (EWR) and Reagan National Airport (DCA) offers 18 daily flights, providing nearly hourly service between 6 AM and 10 PM. In addition, United operates five daily flights from New York/Newark to Washington Dulles and nine flights between LaGuardia and Washington Dulles airports.

“By flying spacious, modern planes out of the New York City area, we’re not only giving our customers more flexibility and choice but we’re also delivering a reliable, premium experience overall,” said Ankit Gupta, Senior Vice President of Domestic Planning and United Express.

Modern Aircraft

United Airlines operates all of the flights from New York airports (EWR/JFK/LGA) to Washington D.C. using aircraft with a first-class option, featuring the Boeing 737 MAX-8 and the Bombardier CRJ-550.

Bombardier CRJ-550 Aircraft

Originally configured with economy class seats for 70 passengers, the United Airlines CRJ-550 has been designed with 10 seats in first class, 20 seats in premium economy, and 20 economy seats. The CRJ-550 features:

United is flying the 737 Max-8 on 22 of 32 daily flights between New York and Washington, with each aircraft configured with 16 first-class seats, 54 premium economy seats, and 96 economy-class seats. The 737 MAX-8 features:

  • On-demand seatback entertainment in every seat,
  • Bluetooth connectivity for wireless headphones,
  • Larger overhead bins,
  • The fastest available inflight Wi-Fi, and
  • Inflight power outlets.
